Urban metabolism, sustainable development of Rotterdam

Urban metabolism. For the International Architectural Biennale Rotterdam 2014 – Urban by nature, the Municipality of Rotterdam, IABR, Fabric, JCFO, TNO analysed the current metabolism of the city and how it could be made more sustainable. Participating in this interdisciplinary team of architects, planners and life-cycle analysts, Judith Borsboom contributed to charting material flows in Rotterdam, to analysing their impact and to exploring how more value can be created for local communities.
